What is Dri-Fit material?
In actual fact, dri fit is a high-performance, microfiber, polyester fabric that moves sweat away from the body and to the fabric surface, where it evaporates. As a result, Dri-FIT keeps athletes dry and comfortable. Dri-FIT technology is used in a variety of Nike products, including shirts, socks, pants, shorts, sweatshirts, sleeves, hats, gloves and more.
The official term Dri-fit is actually a term trademarked by Nike for their sportswear t-shirts. However, it is now commonly used to refer to polyester apparels that evaporates sweat of the user quickly and hence keeping the wearer cool and dry when doing outdoor activities.
Types of Dri Fit Materials We Carry

1. Microfibre Eyelet T-Shirt
If you have ever received t-shirts from events, school camps or any sporting events, there is a high chance that one of them is of microfibre eyelet t-shirt material.

Microfibre eyelet materials are very commonly used on t-shirts for activities, especially outdoors. It is also sometimes used for polo t-shirts and company uniforms where the quick dry function is greatly appreciated.

2. Mini-Mesh (Eyelet) T-Shirt
As the name goes, microfibre mini-mesh material is practically the same as regular eyelet material but with smaller eyelets. If you find the large eyelets an eyesore but still love the feel of regular eyelet t-shirs, mini-eyelet material is the way to go for your customized t-shirts.

Uses of Mini-mesh material are typically similar to those of regular microfibre eyelet t-shirts. Outdoor activities, polo t-shirts for company uniforms etc.
3. Interlock Dri-fit T-Shirt
Commonly found in some premium sports brands for running and sporting jerseys. Interlock polyester is especially comfortable to wear and a soft touch on the skin.

Interlock dri-fit t-shirts are most commonly used for sports such as football, cycling and running. The extra smooth and soft texture of the fabric allows for unrestricted movement in areas such as the shoulder and torso.
Common printing methods for interlock dri-fit t-shirts are silkscreen printing, heat transfer printing, and sublimation printing.
4. Melange Jersey T-Shirt
Looks familiar? you’ve probably seen this heather design on many name brand atheletic t-shirts. Although not exactly the same, our melange jersey material is stretchy, breathable, soft and extra comfortable.

Melange jersey t-shirts are best used for sports and strenuous outdoor activities. This fabric allows for great movement of the body without restriction.
4. Microfibre RJ Pique T-shirt
Similar to Microfibre PK, but a softer and smoother texture. Commonly used for Polo t-shirts as it has a honeycomb look, while still retaining dri-fit polyester properties such as being quick dry and cool. Worrying about light colours being too translucent? Microfibre RJ material is at 180gsm, slightly heavier and thicker than most dri-fit polyester t-shirts to prevent that.

6. Microfibre Pique (PK) T-Shirt
Although not as common as the rest on this list, it has a premium look to it looking like regular honeycomb polo t-shirt material while carrying the great traits of a polyester based material being light weight and quick dry. This microfibre pique material may be found in golf polo t-shirts.

7. Mini Interlock Polyester T-Shirt
One of our top recommended materials especially for outdoor activities, also well received by customers. Slightly stretchy and fitted, it is probably one of the better fitted shirts if you are looking for a slightly slim fit.

How to the right dri fit material
To pick the right material for your needs, you will have to consider the following factors.
PRICE
If you are looking to save costs for large quantity orders a few cents can go a long way if the order is above 200pcs, we would recommend the microfibre eyelet material which generally is the cheapest among those listed above. Mircrofibre eyelet material is also available among our supplier ready stock selection under dri-fit roundneck t-shirts.
COMFORT
Looking for the best material for comfort and fit. We would highly recommend the mini-interlock material material, or the melange jersey. Both are suitable for rigorous and high mobility sports as they are extra soft and has a little elasticity to allow room for movement.
USAGE PURPOSE
Depending on the purpose of the shirt, different types of dri fit material will suit you based on your needs. If you are looking to give out the shirts for events, microfibre eyelet material may be the choice for cost savings.
For outdoor activities, generally all of the above mentioned dri-fit materials will work perfectly fine. In our own opinion, some are more well suited for some activity/function more than the others.
